(ACCEPTING NEW CLIENTS AT OUR GRAND RAPIDS OFFICE AND VIRTUALLY)
Hi, I’m Ashley. I’ve had the privilege of caring for moms during the earliest stages of motherhood for the past 10 years. What I’ve learned from both personal and professional experience is that motherhood often doesn’t look like or feel the way we thought it would. It’s common for women to feel disappointed, sad, and worried when their experience as a mom is not as easy, joyful, or natural as they expected it to be. Postpartum depression is the most common complication of childbirth and up to 20% of women experience a mental health concern during pregnancy and/or postpartum. The great news is though, these concerns are very treatable and with the right support, you can begin to find joy and contentment in your role as a mother.
The most common concerns I help women address are:
Fertility challenges
Grief related to pregnancy/infant loss
Birth related trauma
Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorders
Relationship challenges
Adjustment concerns (changing roles, significant life events, etc.)
Attachment concerns (bonding with baby and/or healing from negative early childhood experiences)
If any of these concerns apply to you, I’d love to connect and discuss how I may support you on your journey. You deserve to be seen, heard and cared for.
